I. Purpose of the Activity
In response to the national call to "Tell China's Stories Well, Spread China's Voice," to enhance students' foreign language expression skills and cross-cultural communication skills, to ignite students' enthusiasm for foreign language learning and awareness of cultural dissemination, to strengthen students' cultural confidence and cultural communication abilities, to enrich the content of the Foreign Language and Culture Activity Month, and to focus on using foreign languages to vividly tell China's stories, Yan Zhao stories, Zhangyuan stories, Hebei North University stories, and Ice & Snow stories, this short video creation competition is specially organized. It encourages students of different foreign language proficiency levels to actively participate, to use Chinese language to tell China's stories, and to use diverse perspectives and vivid forms to convey China's voice to the world, showcasing the unique charm of Chinese culture.

IV. Activity Content & Requirements
(1) Video Themes
Focus on topics such as Chinese traditional festivals, intangible cultural heritage skills, traditional architecture, technological innovation, rural revitalization, urban changes, Chinese spirit and character stories, local folklore, historical sites, etc. The works should reflect Sino-foreign cultural exchanges or an international perspective, highlighting the global significance of the "Five Types of Stories."
(2) Participants
Participants can join individually or in teams (no more than 3 persons per team).
They are encouraged to use Chinese languages to tell China's stories, guided by interest.
(3) Requirements Language:
Use Chinese language as the primary language of expression. Chinese subtitles can be added.
Duration: 3-5 minutes ( exceeding or short of time will be deemed non-compliant).
Format: Creative formats such as short films, documentaries, animations, Vlogs, etc., are all acceptable.
Clear picture, good sound quality. Must add opening and closing words (written team name,guide teacher name).
Must be original, must not be plagiarized or infringe upon others' copyrights.
(4) Submission
a. Application Form (see attachment);
b. Video (MP4 format, resolution not less than 1080P);
c. Video description document (including video ideas, highlights of Chinese language use, within 300 words).
Before November 8th, send the Application Form and Work Description Document and video to the email address:
wywhhdyxsz@163.com. The email subject format should be: "Participant Group - Title - Name".
Before November 13th, send your video via Baidu disk.
V. Judging Criteria
(1) Content Quality: Distinct theme, clear logic, profound cultural connotation. (40 points)
(2) Foreign Language Expression: Accurate and fluent language, standard pronunciation, conforms to the cultural habits of the target language. (30 points)
(3) Creativity & Technique: Innovative form, proficient shooting and editing skills, outstanding visual effects. (20 points)
(4) Communication Potential: The work's potential for cross-cultural communication. (10 points)
